Natural hot spring in Jhinu Dada

Jhinu Hot Spring, located in the Kaski District of Nepal, is a popular natural hot spring celebrated for its therapeutic properties and scenic surroundings. Situated on Jhinu Danda (Jhinu Hill) in the Annapurna region, it is near the village of Jhinu and approximately a 6 to 7-hour trek from Nayapul, a common starting point for many treks in the Annapurna Conservation Area. Nestled amidst the lush greenery of the Himalayan foothills, the hot springs offer stunning views of the surrounding mountains, including Annapurna South and Hiunchuli. The mineral-rich waters of Jhinu Hot Spring are believed to have healing properties, making them particularly beneficial for sore muscles and fatigue experienced by trekkers. Many visitors stop here to relax and soak in the hot springs after long days of trekking. To reach Jhinu Hot Spring, trekkers typically follow trails from Nayapul or Ghandruk, passing through beautiful forests, terraced fields, and small villages along the way.

The journey is an adventure in itself, providing insights into the local culture and lifestyles. At Jhinu Hot Spring, there are basic facilities, including simple bathing areas and changing rooms. Trekkers usually bring their towels and toiletries, as amenities are minimal. Nearby lodges and guesthouses offer accommodation options for those who wish to stay overnight and enjoy more time at the hot springs. In addition to its natural beauty and therapeutic benefits, Jhinu Hot Spring holds cultural significance for residents and is frequently visited by pilgrims as well as trekkers. Visiting the hot spring is not only a chance to rejuvenate physically, but it also provides an opportunity to immerse oneself in the natural and cultural richness of the Annapurna region of Nepal.

Local Beautiful Village Landdruk

Landruk is a charming village situated in the Kaski District of Nepal, within the Annapurna Conservation Area. It is famous for its breathtaking views of the Himalayas, including peaks such as Annapurna South and Hiunchuli. The village serves as a popular stop for trekkers on the routes to Annapurna Base Camp. With its traditional houses, terraced fields, and friendly locals, Landruk offers a wonderful opportunity to experience Nepalese culture and hospitality amidst stunning natural scenery.

Pothana route just south of the Annapurna Range

The scenery of mountains such as Machhapuchhre, Himchuli, Gangapurna, and Annapurna South is spectacular. The journey then continues to the beautiful village of Pothana, which is perhaps the most vibrant place in the entire Annapurna region for breathtaking mountain views. Pothana is home to the Gurung people, where you can experience the rich Ghale culture and traditions. From Pothana, the trek moves on to Landruk, another charming village often referred to as the "green village" due to its lush forests and terraced farmlands. The Low Altitude Trekking trip then proceeds to Jhinu, which serves as the final resting point during the Annapurna Base Camp Trek. While in Jhinu, you can relax in the natural hot water springs before returning to Pokhara.

Australian Camp and Mountain Vistas

Low Altitude Trekking is similar to the Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek and the Annapurna Base Camp Trek, but it should not be confused with other standard trekking routes in the Annapurna region. We have made every effort to make this trekking experience as diverse and appealing as possible. Upon arriving in Lake City, Pokhara, our private vehicle will drive you to Kande, a small hill station on the way to Nayapool. From there, you will trek for about one hour through lush green forests. You will be amazed by the expansive meadows and the flat terrain at the top of a hill known as Australian Camp.
