Mani Rimdu Festival Trek is a cultural and religious version of Everest View Trek. Mani Rimdu is the second biggest festival in the Khumbu region after Dumji. The latter is equivalent to what Dashain is for the Hindus. However, the Mani Rimdu always brings spirituality and colorful vibes to people dwelling within Khumbu. The festival lasts for three days in the Tengboche Monastery of the Khumbu region it’s the biggest monastery in the Everest region.

It is a high-altitude Himalayan Buddhist celebration. It is celebrated between October and November. The dates of 2020 Mani Rimdu are scheduled for Sat, Oct 31, 2020 – Tue, Nov 3, 2020. The Lama of the monastery announces the date of the occasion according to the Tibetan Lunar Calendar. The first day of the festival is the Wang Blessing Ceremony. Dances, music, and prayers are constantly around the monastery. The smell of the incense and the devotion of the people are truly remarkable scenes. In addition to these scenes, the foreigners enjoying the festival are too surprising. Therefore, every year hundreds of Everest Trekkers schedule their Everest View Trek on this date.

The second day is Cham Mask Dance and Jinsak is the third day as a closing procession. People from all parts of Khumbu come to The Tengboche Monastery.
